Hi,
After uninstalling PFrank on Vista, I find that the 'PFrank' entry in the Explorer right-click menu persists. I've tried reinstalling and uninstalling without success, and poked about in the registry to no avail. Thoughts?
Any help is greatly appreciated. |

I don;'t currently have access to a Vista PC so I can't explain why the registry entries didn't uninstall.
Some things to try:
1)
make sure you have admin acces. Then install and uninstall PFrank again.
2)
If that doesn't work then you should be able to remove the 2 entries manually with regedit. I tried it on my XP PC and it works fine.
a)
First run regedit. If you've never used it before, then see the following link:
http://www.xp-vista.com/troubleshooting/how-to-edit-registry-key-regkey-in-windows-xp-or-vista
b)
Select File->Export and export your registry to a file (in case something goes wrong later).
c)
Use Edit->Find to search for the text string 'PFrank'.
You should find a folder entry. Delete it.
d)
Repeat (b) and delete the second entry.
e)
You're done. Exit.
Let me know if either method worked or if you still have problems.
Peter. |

A reinstall, uninstall, and search through the registry did it this time. The registry entry wasn't showing up previously; dunno why. The big difference was that I logged in as admin this time, instead of elevating to admin from within my regular account; may have been the issue.
Thanks for the help. |
