|
|
Hi all,
I did search, and I have not found the answer.
I want to get the last "field" of the file name, it is the name of the author, following the first " - " from the end of the file name.
Grab this info, 99% it is First and Last name, and move it to the very begining of the file, then the " - " should be following ie:
Before:
this is some text - this si the title - First name Last name.doc
After:
First name Last name - this is some text - this si the title.doc
the complexity is that all my files do not alway have the same number of fields, but the first and last names are always at the end, so we should start from the end right?
Need help here...
thanks |

Insert the following into the renaming creator (do not include the single quotes);
Row: 1
Search: '(?E)(.*)-(.*)'
Replace: '\2 - \1'
Row: 2
Search:
Replace: '*Delete All Extra Whitespace in*Prefix*'
Press scan and check the preview window.
Hope that helps!
