Hello,
Is there a beginner's guide anywhere that can help me rename multiple files using simple scenarios. I just used a recovery file that recovered all the files from my memory card but I only got one chance to name the first letter and I chose the letter "I" This worked for my pictures where all the files that started $MG got named IMG (for image), but when it began recovering the deleted video files it also renamed all the $VI files to IVI, They should be named MVI.
So all I want to do is the rename all the IVI_????.MOV to MVI_????.MOV The question marks are the numbers of the videos which I want to rename the same (leave unchanged). If I were doing this at the DOS prompt I would go to the directory and type something like RENAME IVI_????.MOV to MVI_????.MOV How do I do that in this software? Thanks in advance for any comments. |

In row 1 of the custom renaming creator put IVI_ in the search column and put MVI_ in the replace column.
Then press the scan button and check the resulting preview window.
