Which'd be the easiest way to stay informed of new version releases? |

The best way for now is to check this forum or the PFrank homepage.
New versions have lately been available at the beginning and middle of the month.
What would you think if I used an update service available from the following:
http://changedetection.com/
I've seen this used before. I think I would have to apply and set up a web page with the required magic. Then you would have to subscribe so that you are automatically notified when the web page changes. |

How about including an option in the forum's 'Profile', like the 'Always notify me of replies' option. This could take care of the problem, at least to those willing members. |

I might be missing something but I couldn't find any type of 'always notify me" forum profile option.
I've instead set up the auto update registration using the ChangeDetection.com facility. It seems straight forward to use. If you like, maybe give that a try to receive automatic upate notification. |

Right below the 'Post reply' and 'New topic' buttons there's a link "Watch this topic for replies". If you created a topic for new releases, everytime you posted a reply there all the people that clicked that link would receive an email saying there was a new reply on that topic.
Of course only you should be able to post on the topic. |

Thank you!
I've set up a release topic as recommended. Let me know if there are any problems. |

Hey Peter, the notification only works if you Reply to the topic, not by editing the post |

A line showing the current version no. could be introduced. Maybe somewhere below the 'Profile' line? |

I'll try changing the subject line when posting a reply for a new versions. Maybe that will show up in your notification.
