|
|
Hello
Very nice tool - thank you. I was able to insert a counter before the prefix to get a three digit number as the first part of all my file names.
It looks like the files are renamed ascending by their alpha-numeric orignal file name. So a file name that begins with A is 001_A...then if the next file starts with a K, it will be 002_K, etc. What I would like to do is have the files named in ascending order by their creation date/time? Is this possible? If so, how can I accomplish this?
Thanks in advance for any ideas on this. |

Yes, this is easily done.
Just do what you did before except instead of pressing rename just sort the files in the order you want (left click on column header of 'creation date' column)
ONce the names are in the desired order, just press the 'redo last scan' button. This will re-apply the counters.
Then press the rename button.
Hope this helps. If not, then let me know.
