Hi all

Im trying torename my masses of files on my comp..to be honest, im completely overwhelmed by this program. I need help on a couple of things?

1) I have a load of episodes renamed as follows:

Family Guy 01x03 - Chitty Chitty Death Bang.mp4

I'd like to just get rid of the 'family guy', but i just cant work it out!

2) I also have a load of mp4 files where the file name is garbage, but they all contain meta data created in itunes. Is there anyway of extracting the data and renaming the files according to the contained data?

Any help on this would be great. I've trawled through the help files and tried to follow, but i keep banging my head on the wall!!

Thanks in advance guys

For 1)
Just paste the following info into the first row (do not include the single quotes)

Row: 1
Search: 'Family Guy '
Replace:

This will search for 'Family Guy' and replace with nothing.

For 2)
Use the pre-defined command menu and the 'insert in list' button to insert the following into row 1 (or paste manually but don't include the single quotes - note this time the search column is empty).

Row: 1
Search:
Replace: '*Insert Video Information before*Prefix*'

Go to the options window and select the 'Video Information Insertion' panel to configure the type of information to insert.
Drag sample names into the 'Sample Name' field of the main window or press "Scan' to see if the meta-data is detected.

Peter.
