Hi,

One more question... How can I change the path of files systematically ?

I have files of this form :
folderA/folderB/file1.jpg
folderC/folderD/file2.jpg
...
that I want to transform into
folderB'/file1.jpg
folderD'/file2.jpg
where some renaming operation has been performed on folderB and folderD to yield folderB' and folderD'.

Is it possible ?

Best,

Sam

What if you check the folders box on the main window and uncheck the files box. Then you will only be able to rename folders.
Also set the name pattern filter to pick up the folders you want to rename. There are other name filters for subfolders too (available via the Options window).

Hi,

Thanks... but I haven't figured out how to do it... For instance, how would look like a command deleting two levels of subfolders, like this :
folderA/folderB/file1.jpg
goes to
file1.jpg
?

Thanks !

Hi,

You can't actually delete files or folders with PFrank unless you write a plugin.
You can, however, move files around into different folders using the pathbuilder flag. For a simple example, enter the following into the custom renaming creator (do not copy the single quotes):

Row: 1
Search: '(?B)(.*)'
Replace: '../../../\1'

The above will move any matched file 2 levels above.

e.g. file1.jpg in:

folderZ/folderA/folderB/file1.jpg

would move to

folderZ/file1.jpg

folderA/folderB would still exist so you would have to manually delete them, write a plugin, or find some other way to delete them.
