Is there a way to delete sub folders within the current folder? I have a structure like:

current\
first\
second\
third\
a\
red.tif
lightred.tif
darkred.tif
b\
blue.tif
lightblue.tif
darkblue.tif
c\
gr.tif
lightgr.tif
darkgr.tif

first, second, third, a, b, and c are folders and the .tifs are images. I would like for the .tif files to all be listed under the current folder like:

current\
red.tif
lightred.tif
darkred.tif
blue.tif
lightblue.tif
darkblue.tif
gr.tif
lightgr.tif
darkgr.tif

The problem I am running in to is that first, second, and third aren't always the same, so i can't just tell it the full path. I just want to get rid of any sub folders.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes there is a way to do what you ask.

1)
go to the options window -> General (Filters) panel
Make sure the "scan content of subfolders" checkbox is checked.
2)
go to the options window -> Rename Scan panel
Make sure the "Remove parent folder if moves occurring during pathbuilder renaming leaves it empty" checkbox is checked.
3)
In the main window,
a)
set the name filter to: *.tif
b)
set the current folder oanel to: <path>
i.e. just drag your 'current' folder ino the panel.
b)
copy the following to the requried rows/columns of the renaming creator (do not copy the single quotes):

Row: 1
Search: '(?B)(.*)'
Replace: '../../../../\1'

4)
Press the scan button.
You should see a preview window pop up where all the new paths of the tif files will be under the 'current' folder.

Examine the reuslts ofthe preview carefully. If you like the new paths, then press rename and you're done. If any of the subfolder are left empty after the tif files have been moved, then the subfolders will be deleted.

5)
You might want to dirst experiment with some test files/folders just to make sure the results are what you want.

Hope that helps.

Peter.
