I have music files that already have artist name and title in the file name. However the files are currently not well organised in folders.
I don't require audio-fingerprinting.
Can PFrank be used just to reorganise (i.e. move) the files based on the contents of the file name (e.g. "Artist - Title.mp3" or "Artist - Album - Title.mp3")?
I would like them organised in folders as follows
(Alphabetically by sArtist first initial single letter, e.g. C )

Yes this can be done.
Open the built-in manual (Alt-F1) and under the 'contents' tab, select 'advanced renaming'. Then click on the 'Creating Folder Paths from Names' hyperlink.
That section explains how to build path hierarchies from file names.
