Hello Peter,
Firstly I'd like to thank you for your program. It has been such a time saver.
Recently I was given a DSLR camera which is setup to save each photo as a JPG and an ARW.
I copy all files into the one directory, because it is quicker that way.
I rename all JPG photos (and MOV videos) with Image Information using settings saved in associated List Manager configurations. All has been fine to date because there has been only one file type (extension) per directory.
However, now I have two file types (extensions) within the one directory.
What I wish to acheive is to rename the jpg files but leave the arw files as they are. Yes, I could use the Name Filter, but I figure it would be more convenient to use the List.
I've tried to use the List to select only the jpg's, but I keep getting errors or the arw's get renamed as well.
Am I attempting the impossible, or have I missed something?
eg, DSC00001.JPG > 2009_0219_021545.JPG (changed)
DSC00001.ARW > DSC00001.ARW (not changed)

Hi Rod,
If you are using meta data insertion, then the only way to restrict the affected files is to use filters. In this case using the name exclusion filter would be the simplest approach.
You can find the exclusion filter by following the 'More' button on the main window.
You might not be aware but when you use the list manager to save the creator list, it also saves all of the filters. Therefore each custom set can have unique filters. In your case, just set the list name to something like <yourName>_NoARW to make it easy to remember which custom set to use.

This is the part I hadn't worked out. And would you believe, it was going to be part of my request feature.
I do note though, that the Current Folder is not saved with each custom set. This is the second part of my request feature.
By saving a custom set, if there is a Folder set (shown), I'd like to see it saved with the set.
This would then mean, that we (I) only need to load the custom set and then scan. Job's almost done.
Anyhow, off to research plugins, as I wish to be able to rename the arw files with meta data.
