first off, i feel great to be back here!
about two minor alterations i'd like to suggest:
1. the new versions showing the pop up tips too readily.
wherever the pointer goes, the tips seem to pop out.
and once committed to memory, these yellow little
reminders become sort of a nag.
how about an option to
- disable
- show after xx ms?
2. a more customizable column setting on the Detailed Info window.
sizing the chosen columns once doesn't always set them--means
the widths keep on changing on restarts. once set, may they remain so.
may the year be a great one for PFrank! |

Good to have you back.
For your 2 suggestions:
1)
There is an option to disable tooltips. It's found under the Help menu of the main window.
2)
Column widths are supposed to be preserved over restarts. The columns will change if you change modes (e.g. renaming mode to comment editing mode). Otherwise they should not change.
If you can come up with a reproducible scenario that results in column widths changing unintentionally then please let me know.

i feel rather stupid not having noticed the tip OFF option which even have a hotkey attached to it! but i'm glad for it.
as to no.2 i'll keep a more closer watch. though i've a hunch that it's been my own failure to see whether it's in renaming mode or editing mode.
my gratitude again for the efficiency. |
