|
|
Hello!
I have a data base in which most of them are word and excel files and this format name is common:
FRENCH FRIES, S.A. DE C.V.
So I need to remove ALL the dots (ALL the '.' characters). When I try using the regix [.], I loose the files extension. And, when a try using '(?E)\.', the last dots aren't erased (recalling last example, it looks like: FRENCH FRIES, SA DE CV.) What can I do?
I would be so thankfull if you can help with this. |

What you said is true for the example you gave (ie. no extension in the name).
But if the example had an extension then all would be ok.
ie. using your regex,
FRENCH FRIES, S.A. DE C.V..doc or
FRENCH FRIES, S.A. DE C.V.doc
would become:
FRENCH FRIES, SA DE CV.doc
Do some of your files have extensions and some do not?
