Hello there!
First of all I want to say very big THANK YOU, for this awesome program you made.
Now lets start with my questions.
I have Windows 7 OS, and Peter's Flexible RenAmiNg Kit (PFrank)
Version 2.33 (Vista-only).
I have big collection of files that need renaming, and I will be very thankful if you help me do them. The problem is that they are not named in one way, so I will provide most common scenarios that I need your help with. I will made a small legend:

Artist First Name = AFN
Artist Second Name = ASN
Song name = SN
Prefix = PX
Suffix = SX

Example 1:

I have: SN - ASN, AFN.mp3
I need: AFN ASN - SN.mp3
without the "," and reversed.

Example 2:

I have: ASN, AFN - SN.mp3
I need: AFN ASN - SN
without the "," and reversed.

Example 3:

I have: SN - AFN ASN.mp3
I need: AFN ASN - SN.mp3
I need swap of the fields

Example 4:

I have: PX AFN ASN - SN.mp3
I need: AFN ASN - SN.mp3
removing the Prefix

Example 5:

I have: AFN ASN - SN-SX.mp3
I need: AFN ASN - SN.mp3
the problem here is that SX is attached without space to the SN.

So these are my troubles for now. There is more file types involved, not only mp3, but I used them for example. I hope that this post is not very long, and the problem is not very big to solve. Hope to hear from you soon, and thanks in advance!

Hi,

Copy the following into the custom renaming creator (do not include the single quotes).

Row: 1
Search: '(?E)^([^,]*?)\-(.*?),(.*)$'
Replace: '\3 \2 - \1,'
Row: 2
Search: '(?E)^([^\-]*?),(.*?)-(.*)$'
Replace: '\2 \1 - \3,'
Row: 3
Search: '(?E)^([^,\-]*?)-([^,\-]*)$'
Replace: '\2 - \1'
Row: 4
Search: '(?E)^([^,]*?)-([^,]*)-([^,]*)$'
Replace: '\1 - \2'
Row: 5
Search:
Replace: '*Delete All Extra Whitespace in*Prefix*'

This will take care of examples 1-3 and 5. But there is no way to tell the difference between example 3 and 4 so this will not work for example 4.

If there are any extra dashes or commas in the names other than what was indicated in the examples then you will not get the results you want. Check the preview screen carefully.

Hope this helps.

Peter.
